Community Care

Service to mankind is service to God!

Eyes are considered as the supreme of all human sense organs, but to keep them healthy and free of disease and ensure good eyesight one needs to have a periodic check-up. But there are many people who cannot afford to go to a doctor. It is here that Holy Mothers Trust plays an important role in helping such people by ensuring that they do not suffer because of lack of medical treatment.

With this noble thought in mind, Shekar Eye hospital started an NGO called Holy Mothers trust in 2008. Under this, villages in and around Bangalore are adopted and Eye screening camps are conducted regularly. People from these villages are provided free eye consultation and surgeries like cataracts and others. Due to this initiative, many villagers, have been able to have a clear vision.
