Eyes are considered as the supreme of all human sense organs, but to keep them healthy and free of disease and ensure good eye sight one needs to have a periodic check up. But there are many people who cannot afford to go to a doctor. It is here that Holy Mothers Trust plays an important role in helping such people by ensuring that they do not suffer because of lack of medical treatment.
With this noble thought in mind, Shekar Eye hospital started an NGO called Holy Mothers trust in 2008. Under this, villages in and around Banglore are adopted and eye screning camps are conducted regularly. People from these villages are provided free eye consultation and surgeries like cataract and others. Due to this initiative, many villagers, have been able to have a clear vision.
Our doctor and a team of paramedics visit the clinics setup in villages and over 100 people are examined in every camp and the numbers keep increasing as word spreads and people from the vicinity come to avail this opportunity.
Many people, who want to be a part of this humanitarian cause support us in the form of donations, which are exempt from IT section 80g.
